VAM Video Committee

Oversee scientific video presentations for the Vascular Annual Meeting.

  • Reviews submitted videos for the VAM and select the necessary number of videos as determined by the VAM Program Committee.
  • Serves as points of contact for use of video content (VAM or otherwise) for online platform purposes.
  • Ensures that all educational programming that is for CME adheres to all ACCME and ABMS accreditation requirements. Serve as the final reviewer as needed of COI disclosures for CME activities it oversees, to ensure that all conflicts are identified and resolved prior the activity.
  • Utilizes the Content Framework and the new Education Strategic Plan in the development of the programming.
  • Leadership of the VAM Video Committee collaborates on setting the Metrics of Success for the VAM and routinely evaluates outcomes.
  • Reports annually to the Education Council on outcomes.
  • Utilize the new Framework to ensure all videos are properly catalogued. Suggest any videos for the LMS that are appropriate for uploading to the Education committee, even if not accepted for presentation at the VAM.

ACCME Standards

The Education Council and Committees oversee the development and implementation of CME activities and as such volunteers must adhere to The Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education.  Per these requirements, owners, executives and employees of ineligible companies (formerly known as commercial interest) are considered to have unresolvable financial relationships and must be excluded from participating as planners or faculty.  These individuals cannot influence or control any aspect of the planning, delivery, or evaluation of accredited continuing education, except in the limited circumstances outlined in Standard 3.2.  All volunteers involved as planners or faculty will be required to disclose all financial relationships within the prior 24 months.
