Document Oversight Committee
Provide oversight and review of SVS documents and multispecialty consensus documents.
- Monitor progress of SVS clinical practice guidelines, reporting standards, and multispecialty consensus documents in development, and ensure adherence to relevant SVS policies and external standards (e.g., CMSS, ECRI Guidelines Trust, etc.)
- Review published SVS clinical practice guidelines, reporting standards and multispecialty consensus documents, and evaluate potential need for update.
- Perform editorial review of SVS documents submitted for publication in SVS journals and inclusion in Guideline Central and other guideline repositories.
- Perform review of multispecialty consensus documents.
- Provide recommendations to SVS Board of Directors for: new document topics; updates of existing documents; and SVS approval of multispecialty consensus documents, strategies to support development and implementation of high-quality, timely, and relevant clinical practice documents.
- Provide oversight of knowledge translation tools developed for newly published documents (e.g., mobile app, pocket guidelines, educational sessions, etc.)
- Facilitate communication and integration of guidelines and reporting standards with other key SVS quality initiatives.
