About VESAP

VESAP5 is the fifth edition of the Vascular Education and Self-Assessment Program. This online program is designed to meet the Continuous Certification requirements of the Vascular Surgery Board of the American Board of Surgery for continuing medical education credits and MOC self-assessment credits.

Vascular Lab Modules

The Vascular Lab Modules includes 4 modules: Cerebrovascular, Abdominal, Peripheral Arterial, Peripheral Venous, with 50 questions for each module. Physician test-takers can earn up to 30  AMA PRA Category 1 credit hours (7.5 credit hours per module).  Non-physician test-takers will be issued a Certificate of Completion.

Target Audience

VESAP5 is an invaluable aid for vascular surgeons in preparing for the qualifying, certification, and recertification examinations in vascular surgery and to remain current in the specialty of vascular surgery and endovascular therapy. Vascular residents and fellows will find it a useful study aid for their ABSITE or VSITE examinations.

VESAP5 has expanded with additional content in the Vascular Lab modules to aid in the self-assessment for ultrasound technicians. Interventional radiologists, cardiologists, vascular medicine specialists, and allied health care professionals focusing on vascular diseases may use VESAP5 self-assessment to keep abreast of the current practice of vascular surgery and endovascular therapy.

International physicians may be eligible for VESAP cost-free.

Access VESAP5

In Learning Mode, you can view the correct answer to each question, the rationale and references. At the end of each session, you may save your answers and return at a later time or you may elect to end the session and view your score. You may use this product in Learning Mode as often as you'd like and you may take all or part of the exam. No credit is awarded in Learning Mode. 

In Exam Mode, you may navigate throughout the question bank, you may take as much time as you'd like and you can save your answers and return at a later time to complete the exam. In Exam Mode, you will not be able to view the rationale, references or the correct answers.  

Participants must complete the entire module, obtain a passing score of 75% or greater and complete the activity evaluation in order to receive CME credit. If the score is less than 75%, the participant will be asked to review the incorrect questions and answer those questions until 75% is achieved.
