Postgraduate Education Committee

Identify, develop, direct and assess postgraduate education relevant to the SVS membership in advancing the practice, curricula and scope of practice in vascular surgery at the Vascular Annual Meeting.

Oversees the development of all non-plenary sessions at the Vascular Annual Meeting.
Helps to identify appropriate PGE/other sessions for streaming.
Oversee freestanding PGE activities, section meetings to meet identified member needs.
Ensures that all educational programming that is for the CME adheres to all ACCME and ABMS accreditation requirements. Serve as the final reviewer as needed of COI disclosures for CME activities it oversees, to ensure that all conflicts are identified and resolved prior the activity.
Utilizes the Content Framework and the new Education Strategic Plan in the development of the PGE sessions.
Leadership of the PGE collaborates on setting the Metrics of Success for the VAM and routinely evaluates outcomes.
Reports annually to the Education Council on outcomes.
