Membership Autorenewal FAQs

Starting in 2025, the Society for Vascular Surgery will offer autorenewals as an easy way to remit your annual membership dues and renew your SVS Membership. You can opt-in now to be ready for next year's autorenewal. 

How can I opt-in to Autorenewals?

Add a saved credit card to your account designated for Membership and starting in 2025 we will charge it annually for your SVS Membership Dues, allowing you to easily remain a member in good standing without needing to manually submit your payment

There are three ways to opt-in to Auto-Renewals. 

  1. Create a New Saved Payment Account here.
    1. Add a New Saved Account - Create a New Saved Account with the Credit Card option.
    2. When prompted, enter your credit card payment information.
    3. On the following screen, scroll to the bottom under 'Authorizations' and check the box for 'Automatic payment for Membership.'
    4. Enter a date in the 'Membership Use Until Date' box to grant use permissions through that date. 
    5. Submit
  2. Manage your Existing Saved Payment Accounts here.
    1. Select 'Update' underneath the saved account you would like to opt-in with,
    2. On the following screen, scroll to the bottom under 'Authorizations' and check the box for 'Automatic payment for Membership.'
    3. Enter a date in the 'Membership Use Until Date' box to grant use permissions through that date. 
    4. Submit
  3. Pay Your Current Outstanding Dues here.
    1. After paying your current outstanding dues with a credit card, you will receive a prompt to save your payment details.
    2. Check the "Save this payment method for future use" and "Automatic Payment for Membership" boxes to opt-in to autorenewals for your next renewal.

When will my credit card be charged?

We will charge your saved credit card annually in October, prior to the December 31st mandatory renewal date. Your card will first be charged for 2025 Membership dues in October of 2024.

What will my credit card be charged?

You will be charged for your SVS Membership Dues for the year. 

Will I be notified? 

Yes, the SVS will send notification that your membership has been renewed on the first weekday of October. You will receive an additional notification before your credit card is run and given the opportunity to opt-out of the automatic renewal before payment is made.

What if my credit card is expired or no longer valid?

The SVS will notify you if your card is no longer valid by email or phone. Your membership will not be renewed until payment is received. 

How do I change my credit card information if the card I use for auto-renewal expires?
