The SVS offers Legacy Membership as a way for long-standing members to remain actively engaged in the Society and continue contribution to its mission—while choosing a level of involvement that aligns with their stage of practice and professional goals.
Legacy Membership is available to Active Members age 70 and older, with two tiers based on age and preferred benefits. This status offers continued access to valuable SVS resources, recognition of your contributions, and flexibility in how you participate.
Legacy Tier 1 (Age 70 and older)
Annual Dues: $483 (40% discount from Active Member dues)
Legacy 1 Members remain fully engaged in SVS leadership, decision-making, and programs while enjoying a discounted dues rate.
Eligibility:
- Must be an Active Member in good standing
- Must be age 70 or older
Benefits Include:
- Voting rights in SVS elections
- Eligibility to serve as a member on SVS committees and councils
- Use of the FSVS (Fellow of the Society for Vascular Surgery) designation

- Membership in the Senior Section

Legacy Tier 2 (Age 78 and older)
Annual Dues: $295 (reduced rate)
Legacy 2 Members maintain meaningful connections to SVS and its Senior Section with limited privileges at a further reduced cost.
Eligibility:
- Must be an Active Member in good standing
- Must be age 78 or older

How to Apply
Eligible members must complete the Legacy Membership Attestation Form by December 15, 2025 to update their Active Membership for the 2026 dues cycle. Forms are reviewed on a monthly basis.
Already a Senior Member?
If you were approved for Senior Membership before June 2025, you do not need to apply. However, you may choose to transition to Legacy Tier 1 or 2 to receive additional benefits.
