Welcome to the New York Vascular Society

The New York Society for Vascular Surgery (NYSVS) is a regional society for vascular surgeons either in practice or in training within the New York Metropolitian and surrounding area. NYSVS was established in 2005 and currently numbers 286 members practicing both in academic and in community settings. Throughout our history we have been committed to advancing clinical knowledge, innovative treatments and surgical techniques, research and collaboration in the field of vascular and endovascular surgery.  Our bi-annual meetings (Spring and Fall) welcome presentations by practicing surgeons, fellows and residents on a variety of vascular and endovascular topics focusing on surigical techniques, current controversies and topics relevant to modern vascular practice. The society promotes research by supporting two research awards annually (one for clinical and one for basic science projects). In addition, one traveling fellowship grant is awarded annually to facilitate trainee education outside their teaching institution. All grants are awarded following review of proposals by the Executive Committee. This year (2019) the application deadline for submission is April 19th. I encourage you to join the NYSVS and actively participate in its annual activites.
