About

In 2025, the SVS, the Society for Vascular Nursing (SVN), and the Physician Assistant (PA) Section created a new membership section, the Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Section for vascular Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNS) and PAs. The section provides a "professional home" to APRNs and PAs working in vascular care settings.

Vascular Care Team Speakers’ Bureau

In collaboration with the Society for Vascular Nursing, the APP Section and SVN are proud to introduce the Vascular Care Team Speakers’ Bureau as a tool to connect professionals with speaking opportunities. The Bureau provides a means to promote your expertise and availability for discussions and presentations about specialized vascular care topics.

How to Join the APP Section

Current Members of SVS and SVN

If you are a PA, and a member of SVS, email sections@vascularsociety.org to join the APP Section.

If you are an APRN, and a member of SVN, email sections@vascularsociety.org to join the APP Section.

Nonmembers of SVS or SVN

If you are a PA, and not a member of SVS, apply for Affiliate Membership and submit the completed documentation. You will need to include: a completed application form, including the names and contact information of two physicians who sponsor your application, one of which must be a member of the SVS in good standing and a curriculum vitae.

If you are an APRN, and not a member of SVN, join SVN today. You will automatically enrolled as an SVS affiliate member through your SVN membership—no separate application is required. 

After joining SVS or SVN, email sections@vascularsociety.org to join the APP Section.
