VOYAGE Scholarship

Application deadline: April 1, 2025

The SVS Foundation and the SVS Young Surgeons Section announce the VOYAGE Scholarship Program. This program supports early-career vascular surgeons by providing opportunities to advance their education, broaden their professional network, and actively engage with the wider vascular surgery community.

The SVS Foundation will award $1,000 scholarships to help offset expenses to attend continuing medical education courses, professional development events and other relevant educational opportunities. The VOYAGE Scholarship aims to empower early-career vascular surgeons in the first 10 years of practice to grow professionally, make meaningful contributions to the field, and bring unique perspectives to leadership roles and key discussions within vascular surgery.

The program also addresses a recognized need within the SVS community: increasing representation of early-career surgeons in the audiences, as presenters and in leadership positions at vascular societies. By supporting these emerging leaders, the VOYAGE Scholarship helps ensure the future of vascular surgery is inclusive, innovative, and reflective of all its members.

The following SVS educational courses qualify for the April 1, 2025, application deadline:

Eligibility

To apply, applicants must be an SVS Early Active Member or an SVS Active Member and a member of the SVS Young Surgeons Section. Please note that vascular trainees, residents, and medical students are not eligible for the scholarship.

The SVS Young Surgeons Section is open to members in their first 10 years of practice. If you are not yet a member of this section, you can join by emailing membership@vascularsociety.org or logging into your SVS account and opting into the section.

Each applicant is eligible to receive one VOYAGE Scholarship per calendar year.

SVS Foundation is invested in a process that ensures diversity, equity, and inclusion in our award and scholarship opportunities. We encourage enthusiastic, eligible applicants from all aspects of gender, sexual orientation and ethnicity to apply.
