Overview

Registration for the Complex Wound Care Masterclass Workshop 2026: Debridement, Dressing and Oxygen Therapy opens February 9, 2026.

Developed jointly by the Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS), the Society for Vascular Nursing (SVN) and the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA), this interprofessional curriculum supports the specific needs of vascular care teams. 

Program Highlights

  • A hands-on workshop held alongside Vascular Annual Meeting 2026 (VAM26) on Friday, June 12 from 12 - 5 pm.
    • 2026 Workshop topic: Debridement, Dressing, and Oxygen Therapy
  • An online module with 27 short videos to be watched prior to the workshop*
  • CME, CEUs, and CE credits
  • Pre-and post-tests, plus additional online resources

*Online module enrollment is included with live workshop registration. Participants are added at the end of business every Monday and Friday and will receive an email with access details. Please do not buy the module separately if you register for the workshop.

Format and Agenda
  • A short didactic portion followed by complex cases and a panel discussion with an interprofessional team of Vascular Surgeons, Vascular PAs, Vascular Nurses, Advanced Practice Providers (APP) and a Podiatrist (CME portion).
  • The attendees will then have the opportunity for hands-on learning supported by both the expert faculty and industry representatives.  
  • Attendees will also participate in an Industry Showcase and exhibit.

Attendee Housing

If you are attending the workshop and VAM26, take advantage of discounted rates at our partner hotels. Housing will open once VAM26 officially opens on March 11. The housing booking link will be posted on this page on March 11.

Attendees who register prior to March 11 will receive a separate email containing the housing link within a few days of the official VAM26 housing opening. Discounted rates will be available through May 15.

Plan Early: Boston hotels are forecasted to sell out during VAM week due to the various events taking place at the same time, including the World Cup matches, Boston Red Sox games, potential NBA/NHL finals and college graduations. Securing a room in the VAM hotel block will be the best way to ensure you have a room at a reasonable cost.

Accreditation Statement

The Society for Vascular Surgery is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. 

The Society for Vascular Surgery designates this live activity for a maximum of 2.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should only claim the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

Important information about your CME credits

The American Board of Surgery (ABS) recently made changes to its CME processes, which impact the way that Diplomates interact with the Board, upload CME credits, and meet Certification requirements. SVS is committed to complying with the new rules and making your ability to claim credit as seamless as possible; however, we are still in the process of aligning our systems to meet these new requirements.    

To ensure all your CME credits earned with SVS are transferred to the ABS, please visit this webpage to review the process. 

ANCC Accreditation Information

This nursing continuing professional development activity was approved by the Mississippi Nurses Foundation, Inc., an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

APMA Accreditation Information

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the standards and requirements for approval of providers of continuing education in podiatric medicine through a joint provider agreement between the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) and the Society for Vascular Surgery. APMA is approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education as a provider of continuing education in podiatric medicine. APMA has approved this activity for a maximum of 2 continuing education contact hours.

The ACCME requires that the SVS, as an accredited provider of CME, disclose the relevant financial relationships of the planners, faculty, and any other individuals in a position to control the content of this activity. Cancellation Policy

All cancellations for the event must be submitted in writing via email to meetings@vascularsociety.org by April 27, 2026. Cancellations received by April 27, 2026 will receive a full refund, less a $50 administrative fee.

If you started or claimed credit for the Wound Care Online Module, your refund will be the cost difference between the module and the workshop, plus a $75 administration fee deduction.

Cancellations received after April 27, 2026, are non-refundable. All refunds will be processed after the course.
