Developed in partnership by the Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS), including the PA Section, the Society for Vascular Nursing (SVN), and the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA), this interprofessional Wound Care Curriculum is designed to meet the unique needs of vascular care teams.

Included is this hands-on, post-Vascular Annual Meeting 2025 (VAM25) workshop taking place on Saturday, June 7 and an engaging online module with videos that you can access before and after the workshop.

*Enrollment in the online module with videos will be conducted end of business every Monday and Friday for registrants of the live workshop. You will receive an email once you are enrolled with a link to access the module. Do not purchase the module separately if you registered for the live workshop.

Format

  • A short didactic portion followed by complex cases and a panel discussion with an interprofessional team of Vascular Surgeons, Vascular PAs, Vascular Nurses and a Podiatrist (CME portion).    
  • The attendees will then have the opportunity for hands-on learning supported both by the expert faculty and industry representatives.  
  • Attendees will also participate in an Industry Showcase and exhibit.

Case Submissions

Registrants of the workshop are encouraged to submit complex cases for discussion; Cases should be submitted ahead of time for review and selection no later than May 2, 2025. Cases should focus on the topics of Debridement, Dressing, and Oxygen Therapy. The workshop faculty will review all cases and a portion will be discussed at the workshop.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations for the event must be submitted in writing via email to svsmeetings@vascularsociety.org by April 26, 2025. Cancellations received by April 26, 2025 will receive a full refund, less a $50 administrative fee. Cancellations received after April 26, 2025, are non-refundable. All refunds will be processed after the course.

Important information about your CME credits

The American Board of Surgery (ABS) recently made changes to its CME processes, which impact the way that Diplomates interact with the Board, upload CME credits, and meet Certification requirements. SVS is committed to complying with the new rules and making your ability to claim credit as seamless as possible; however, we are still in the process of aligning our systems to meet these new requirements.

APMA Accreditation Information

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the standards and requirements for approval of providers of continuing education in podiatric medicine through a joint provider agreement between the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) and the Society for Vascular Surgery. APMA is approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education as a provider of continuing education in podiatric medicine. APMA has approved this activity for a maximum of 2 continuing education contact hours.
