The Vascular Research Initiatives Conference (VRIC) emphasizes the exchange of basic and translational vascular science that stimulates thoughtful discussion and motivates participants to discover solutions to important problems affecting vascular patients. The VRIC brings together vascular surgeons, vascular biologists, physicians with an interest in vascular problems, vascular surgery trainees and research trainees in vascular surgery and vascular biology.

The VRIC will be held in conjunction with the American Heart Association's Vascular Discovery: From Genes to Medicine Scientific Sessions in Boston, Massachusetts.

Call for Abstracts 

Abstract submissions are now open for VRIC 2023. Researchers are invited and encouraged to submit their abstracts for this year's conference by the Jan. 11, 6 p.m. CST deadline. 

Abstract submissions will be accepted through the Vascular Discovery: From Genes to Medicine abstract portal. To start your submission, visit the Vascular Discovery page and click "Submit Your Abstract."

To submit an abstract, you will need to create a free account with the American Heart Association or sign in at the button below with your already existing credentials. There will be a $49 fee to submit an abstract to VRIC and/or Vascular Discovery - this fee allows researchers to submit one abstract for each meeting.

Vascular Research Initiatives Conference Trainee Award

Attending VRIC 2023 as a trainee? Top-scoring abstracts submitted to the VRIC by trainees will be considered for the Vascular Research Initiatives Conference Trainee Award. You must submit your abstract by January 11, 2023, to be considered.
