Advanced Wound & Burn Care Fellowship Program

The Division of Surgical Education at North Shore University Hospital/Long Island Jewish Medical Center (NS/LIJ) at Northwell Health is pleased to announce an opening for our Advanced Wound & Burn Care Fellowship Program for the 2025-2026 academic year (August 1, 2025 – July 31, 2026).

This rigorous one-year program, accredited by the American Board of Wound Care Medicine and Surgery, provides comprehensive training in advanced wound care and burn management. Fellows will gain experience in various clinical settings, including our nationally recognized Northwell Comprehensive Wound Healing Center and Hyperbarics. 

Eligibility

  • Board-eligible (graduating from a U.S. residency) or board-certified in a relevant specialty (e.g., Surgery, Plastic Surgery)
  • Residents who will have a gap year upon completion of residency are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to obtain a New York State (NYS) medical license by the program start date (August 1, 2025)
