2022-23 SVS Leadership Research Scholarship for Trainees

The deadline for the 2022-23 SVS Leadership Research Scholarship for Trainees has closed.

About

The SVS Leadership and Development Research Subcommittee is excited to announce a unique opportunity for Vascular or Endovascular Surgery trainees, who are currently enrolled in a residency or fellowship program. SVS is seeking two trainees to collaborate with a group of leading Vascular Surgeons to conduct research on leadership within vascular surgery. Our goal is to query leadership training needs, understand its role in the development of a career in vascular surgery, and determine the skills required to navigate the challenges faced on a daily basis, and that will be faced in the future, in various environments (academic, private practice, administration, research, etc.).

Reviewing the literature or internal resources for existing research, helping to design a survey/question writing, as well as creating a write-up/analysis of the research are some of the things you can expect to do as part of the research team. Upon successful completion of this research, each resident will receive a $1000 scholarship to pursue their studies, research, or further their leadership skills as they see fit.

The deadline for the 2022-2023 scholarship has closed.
