YSS Visiting Professorship
Scholarship Information
The Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) Young Surgeon Section (YSS) offers an annual Visiting Professorship for young vascular surgeons to provide mentorship, foster professional development, and expose them to diverse clinical and innovative research environments, ultimately accelerating their career growth and enhancing their contributions to the vascular specialty.
This scholarship provides a $1000 travel stipend and $1500 honorarium for one visiting professorship per year. Recipients will be selected by the YSS Award Selection Committee.
Eligibility
The physician applicant responsible for the grant must be an SVS Active Young Surgeon Section member. Early Active Members who have completed a vascular surgery residency or fellowship program are eligible.

Submission Process:
Complete the application by Friday, Jan. 31, 2025.

- The application form includes an abstract with a 500-word limit
- Curriculum Vitae
- Copies of slides of a recent talk or presentation
Criteria and Review Process
Applications will be reviewed by the YSS Award Selection Committee.
The criteria on which scholarship decisions will be provided include:
- Maximum of 10 years as a practicing vascular surgeon.
