SVS ONLINE 2020 meeting returns in series of recordings

Time marches on. Time heals all wounds. If I could turn back time.

All of these may be true—but in the case of the SVS ONLINE virtual meeting, people can turn back time, in a fashion. Registrants certainly can go back in time to see what they missed during SVS ONLINE: “New Advances and Discoveries in Vascular Surgery,” held virtually in June and July.

Registration is required; those who did so during or before the meeting do not need to register again to view the content. Separate registrations are required for the Society for Vascular Nursing’s annual conference sessions and the Vascular Quality Initiative’s virtual meeting. Visit vsweb.org/RegisterONLINE.

Participants may view, listen and/or download post-live and pre-recorded lectures, known as “enduring content,” at their own convenience, and also may claim educational credits in many cases. Materials include educational presentations; scientific sessions featuring the latest research; special forums such as the E. Stanley Crawford Critical Issues Forum, the Presidential Welcome, the Roy Greenberg Distinguished Lecture, the International Lecture, a special session on assuring quality in vascular care, VESS programming, international programming and the ONLINE wrap-up; four presentations for general surgery residents and medical students (not available for credits); and the VQI’s virtual meeting.

Industry played a vital role in the virtual meeting, as it does with the SVS live Vascular Annual Meeting. A second section in the left navigation panel links to industry sponsors, recordings of live industry and OnDemand presentations.

To access all materials, log in at vsweb.org/ Planner2020. Use the left-hand panel to navigate to sessions of choice. Participants can claim Continuing Medical Education and Maintenance of Certification credits for sessions that offer them. Industry sessions and presentations are not eligible for credits. Credit claimed for sessions attended during the live event may not be claimed a second time.

Additional information is available at the top of the navigation tab. For more, email education@ vascularsociety.org. Claiming credits will be available until Oct. 31.
