Apply Now to Help Ravaged Areas and Patients

When disasters struck Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico last fall, the SVS Foundation responded quickly, creating the SVS Foundation Disaster Relief Fund. This fund is intended to support programs initiated by our SVS members that provide short-term emergency assistance and longer-term aid for vascular surgery practices and vascular patients in disaster-devastated communities.

Since then, many members have generously donated to the fund, and it's now time to put those dollars to work. The SVS Foundation is accepting applications to disburse the funds for recovery efforts not only in Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico, but also other areas that have experienced catastrophes.

Complete eligibility requirements are explained at the link below. Applicants must be physicians and SVS members (active, international, senior or candidate) and be current with their SVS membership dues.

This aid is intended to meet needs that cannot be met through federal assistance or other funding resources. Applications will be reviewed by an ad hoc committee appointed by the SVS Foundation Board of Directors to ensure funds will provide meaningful support to vascular surgery practices and the patients they serve.

We will, of course, report back to our members on how this money was used in communities that experienced devastation.

Thank you to all the generous SVS members who contributed to this Disaster Relief Fund. We could not provide this important help without your support.
