The 2020 Vascular Research Initiatives Conference is repurposed as a virtual event—and is coming to a screen near you this month.
Featuring two presentations, VRIC ONLINE 2020: From Discovery to Translation, will include the accepted oral presentations from the canceled conference as well as live question-and-answer periods. Times are 1 to 3 p.m. Central Standard Time Thursday, Nov. 5, and 7 to 9 p.m. CST Thursday, Nov. 12. Registration is free but mandatory. Visit vsweb.org/VRIC20 to register and for more information.
SVS president Ronald L. Dalman, MD, and Dr. Edith Tzeng, MD, chair of the Research Council, championed the idea to present Virtual VRIC, said Luke Brewster, MD, chair of the Basic and Translational Research Committee.
He pointed out that the committee “learned quite a bit about virtual meetings” from SVS ONLINE: “New Discoveries and Advances in Vascular Surgery” and two European sessions. “We’re pleased to bring forward these two modules to accommodate the outstanding science we had submitted to us.”
