In celebration of the Society for Vascular Surgery’s 75th Anniversary, the SVS will be hosting a photo contest highlighting the past, present, and future of vascular surgery. Help SVS tell its story by sharing your photos of life as a vascular surgeon, trainees, students, affiliates, etc.  

The contest will run from March 17 – to May 19, with a new category each week.  Each category will have one winner and three runners-up. Winners and runners-up for each category will be recognized during VAM and on the SVS website.

Photos of you or colleagues engaging in fulfilling activities (both on and off the job), hobbies, family, breaks, or fun in the workplace.   

March 17  – March 23    

Vascular Team 

Photos of your team of vascular care professionals, both candid and posed.  March 24  - March 30    

Explore your practice 

Photos of where you work (your office, OR, OBL, reception area, break area, etc., with or without people.)  March 31 - April 6 

Surgery around the world 

Photos from international members and photos of your travels  April 7 – April 13 

Mentorship/Training 

Photos of any aspect of training to be a vascular surgeon  April 14 – April 20 

Patient care 

Photos that include patients (please be sure to get permission; a form will be required for submissions that include patients.)  April 21 – April 27

In the OR

Intraoperative photos (be sure to get permission if patients are shown in a non-HIPAA compliant way)  April 28 – May 4 

VAM/vascular meetings/volunteering photos 

Photos of professional development, networking, volunteer meetings, etc.   May 5- May 11

75th Anniversary

Share your historic photos of vascular surgery. 

May 12 – May 19 

                                                   

Criteria  

  • Applicants must be members of the SVS.  

  • Photos must be high resolution (greater than 300kb). 

  • Applicants must agree to and understand the photo authorization and release agreement by checking the appropriate box in the submission form.
