Become a Reviewer for JVS Publications

Performing peer reviews for Journal of Vascular Surgery (JVS) publications is a great way to develop your career and lend your expertise to the art and science of vascular disease management. If you meet the following requirements and would like to apply to become a reviewer, please send an email with your CV and a letter of recommendation to jvascsurg@vascularsociety.org. In your email please specify which JVS journal(s) you are interested in reviewing manuscripts for.

Requirements for JVS Peer Reviewers:

  • Formal vascular training in an integrated or fellowship program (or)
  • Active practice or active research in vascular disease management (and)
  • A recommendation from a mentor supporting good standing (and)
  • Time to spend 2 or more hours a month on manuscript review

Reviewing manuscripts is also a great way to earn CME credits. Physicians may claim a total of 15 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ per year of manuscript review. For more information, see our online reviewer guide.
