The SVS 75th anniversary will culminate at the 2022 VAM in Boston with a 75th Anniversary Gala celebration. The Gala will be a collaborative event between the SVS and the SVS Foundation, with the dual purpose of celebrating the SVS 75th Anniversary and serving as a fundraiser for the SVS Foundation. The SVS and Foundation are looking for volunteers to serve on the 2022 Gala Committee.
The SVS Executive Board has appointed Dr. Ron Dalman, DFSVS, as Chair of the 2022 Gala Committee along with Co-chairs Drs. Venita Chandra and Matt Eagleton. An additional 8-10 members will be appointed to complete the committee.
The committee will plan an event that will meet both objectives on behalf of the SVS and Foundation. The scope of the committee work falls into the following three areas:
- Promoting table sales and attendance
- Developing a fun and engaging program
- Assisting in fundraising to support the Foundation’s mission
The committee will meet bi-weekly on Monday evenings at 7p.m. CT mid-September through the end of 2021, then once a month or as needed during the months leading up to the event. Volunteers can expect to spend additional time on committee assignments and should plan to be present and support the event as needed onsite in Boston.
