Legacy Program
The SVS Foundation's Legacy Program honors those who have given $10,000 or more to the SVS Foundation during their lifetime. They are honored in perpetuity for their commitment to the specialty.
The SVS considers the following contributors to be the specialty's leaders who most understand the critical need for innovative researchers. Their exceptional support has made it possible for the SVS Foundation to award grants to ensure researchers have the resources they need to start and continue their research careers. Equally important, these contributors know that vascular patients are the primary beneficiaries of the high-quality research conducted by vascular surgeons.
Thank you to all our Legacy Program donors:

Presidential Council ($50,000-$100,000)
The Presidents Council of the SVS Foundation was established in 2016 by its founding donor, Peter Lawrence, MD, Foundation Chair. As the immediate past president of the SVS, Dr. Lawrence wanted to demonstrate his appreciation for the unique opportunity afforded to him by the SVS during his tenure as president by making a major contribution to the Foundation’s endowment fund.
He continues to encourage other past presidents to join him in the Presidential Council to provide financial support for research that will advance the specialty and support basic science, clinical, and technological investigations. This research is the key to maintaining vascular surgery’s leadership role in the field of vascular disease management.
