The VISIT Trial
APDVS VISIT Trial
The APDVS is participating in a national study of post-interviews, post-rank list, site visits to investigate the benefits and drawbacks of this practice for applicants and programs.
This study has Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval.
Participating programs must pledge to finalize their rank list in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) system on Feb. 7, 2023, giving candidate nearly one month to visit programs of their choosing before student rank lists must be finalized.
After students complete site visits, a survey will be distributed to investigate their perceptions of this process. We will also survey participating Program Directors to understand the benefits and drawbacks to programs.
Please email program agreements to Nancy Nelson nancy.nelson@hsc.utah.edu
