Overview
The largest clinical area for vascular surgeons in the United States is the treatment of patients with peripheral arterial disease (PAD). This makes it necessary for surgeons to become familiar with the latest treatments and technology so they can provide the best patient care possible. This SVS Complex Peripheral Vascular Intervention Skills Course is comprised of an extensive hands-on program designed by vascular surgeons for vascular surgeons. This 2-day program gives vascular surgeons the chance to practice the latest procedures on cadavers and benchtop models during small-group simulations.
The SVS is excited to announce that a percutaneous deep vein arterialization system demonstration will take place at this new course! This will provide attendees with the unique opportunity to interact with this new, groundbreaking system currently under evaluation in a US pivotal study.
PLEASE NOTE: Fluoroscopic procedures utilizing c-arms will be performed during the hands-on training on day 2 of the course . Attendees will be provided with lead aprons and thyroid shields at stations where fluoroscopic procedures will be performed.
