Medical Student and General Surgery Resident Programming

Vascular Resident and Fellow Programming

SVS offers a wide range of robust opportunities and scholarships for fellows, residents and medical students considering vascular surgery. Interested trainees should bookmark this page and check regularly for updated programming and scholarship information.

Note: Travel scholarship applications are now closed.

Educational and Networking Program

The fellow/resident/student education and networking program will be Wednesday through Friday, June 12-14.

This program provides residents and students a unique opportunity to explore a career in vascular surgery. Learners of all levels (first-year medical students to senior level surgical residents to vascular surgery trainees) will have a chance to meet members and leaders of the vascular surgical community as well as other trainees with similar interests.

With the exception of our Sim Training event, the entire Fellow/General Surgery Resident/Medical Student Educational Program is open to all registered fellows, residents and students. (The June 12 Open & Endovascular Simulation Training session is available only to 2019 scholarship recipients of the Vascular Annual Meeting Travel and Diversity Medical Student Scholarship Programs.)

Discounted Registration for Fellows, Residents and Students

Discounted VAM19 registration is available for vascular surgery trainees, general surgery residents and medical students. Those who want to apply for discounted registration will need to submit a letter from either their program director, chief of service or medical school stating they are in a vascular surgery training program/general surgery residency program/medical school and want to attend the meeting. Note: SVS members will not be required to submit a letter.
