Aortic Research Fellow - USF Health Morsani College of Medicine
The Dept. of Surgery/Division of Vascular Surgery would like to post to hire a Post Doc Fellow that will conduct clinical research focusing on aortic diseases. Candidate will work with Dr. Dean Arnaoutakis and associated research team. A paid position, salary range $48,000 - 50,000 for a 1-year commitment, starting September 2022 until August 2023. Candidate will work in vascular offices at USF Health STC complex (7th floor).
The Aortic Research Fellow will conduct clinical and translational vascular surgery research, with a focus in aortic diseases, through collaboration with clinical and research faculty across various disciplines. Tasks include but are not limited to tissue/data collection, molecular analyses, data/statistical analysis, manuscript preparation, grant writing, video creation, oral presentation, and research seminar participation. CLINICAL RESEARCH ONLY - NO PATIENT CARE.
Essential functions of position: Investigate clinically impactful research questions as they pertain to the field of aortic disease and its treatment.
Qualifications (Education & Experience):
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution and appropriate experience and training within a selected area of specialization. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Postdoctoral Fellow.
Candidate should have (or be in the process of obtaining) postgraduate degree in medicine or healthcare sciences with experience in conducting clinical research with background/familiarity in statistical analysis and manuscript writing.
