The Society for Vascular Surgery® (SVS) Excellence in Community Service Award is an honor the SVS bestows on a member who has exhibited outstanding leadership within their community as a practicing vascular surgeon. Selection for this honor recognizes an individual’s sustained contributions to patients and their community, as well as exemplary professional practice and leadership. 

Application deadline: March 1, 2019

The Community Awareness and Prevention Project Grant is intended to help vascular surgeons conduct community-based projects that address emerging issues in vascular health, wellness, and disease prevention. These projects will emphasize patient education, risk assessment and advance awareness of vascular health.

Welcome to the 4th edition of the Vascular Self-Assessment and Education Program (VESAP4). Since its inception, VESAP has evolved to become the educational product of choice for trainees studying for the American Board of Surgery Vascular Surgery (ABS-VS) Qualifying Exam or the Vascular Surgery In-Training Examination (VSITE) and for practicing surgeons preparing for the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) exam.

VESAP4 for International Physicians

SVS offers a VESAP product free of charge to physicians in select countries based on the World Health Organization's index. This complimentary edition of VESAP helps fulfill the society's mission to advance the practice of vascular surgery worldwide.

VESAP for international physicians provides access to questions and answers in learning mode only. No continuing medical education credit or certificates will be generated.

VESAP4 is an online self-assessment program designed to meet the Maintenance of Certification requirements of the Vascular Surgery Board of the American Board of Surgery for continuing medical education credits and MOC self-assessment credits. 

To further help SVS members better meet challenges they are facing in their practices, the Society is working with the esteemed legal health firm Polsinelli to produce a series of hot topic articles and webinars to address specific issues of concern.
