The SVS Pathways to Vascular Surgery Practice 2020: Planning Your Career in Vascular Surgery was a web-based version of the Resident and Student Outreach breakfast sessions typically held during VAM. This programming was held June 2, 3, 9 and 10, and was aimed at general surgery residents in years one through five, and medical students with an interest in vascular surgery.
The first three webinars were geared toward those in particular phase of the educational process, while the fourth (June 10) covered topics of interest to all students, general surgery residents and vascular surgery trainees.
Residents and students experienced many exciting webinars presented by leaders in the field. These presentations focused on several topics, including careers in vascular surgery, how vascular surgery differs from other specialties, tips for vascular surgery residency, leadership development and much more.
