The SARS-CoV2 pandemic presents an unusual challenge for prospective medical student to safely partake in sub-internship rotations at an outside institution. Programs have developed a virtual away rotation for interested fourth-year medical students that are applying for a residency position in the 2021 match.

VESAP4 will expire July 31, 2020. Beginning on August 1st, the VESAP4 activity will remain open and available for users to access the Learning mode only, and to print certificates for credit earned by July 31, 2020. No credit will be awarded after July 31, 2020.  Access to the Learning mode and to download certificates for VESAP4 will remain available through November 1, 2020.

At the beginning of 2019, the Society for Vascular Surgery launched the Social Media Ambassador Program. This provides an opportunity for vascular-focused medical students, general surgery residents and trainees to become involved within the society.

Responsibilities:

As an organization accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education, the SVS must ensure balance, independence, objectivity and scientific rigor in all its individually sponsored educational activities.
