New Marks of Distinction for SVS members

Fellow of the Society for Vascular Surgery™ (FSVS™)

The SVS Executive Board has announced that all Active SVS members in good standing will now be considered Fellows of the Society for Vascular Surgery™ (FSVS™). The trademarked designation is one of the benefits of SVS membership and is a public acknowledgement that a surgeon has met the high standards required by the SVS of its members and has shown a professional commitment to the field of vascular surgery.

These procedures are incorporated into and are part of the Terms and Conditions of Use of The Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) website (Site). The owner of a copyrighted work (or the agent for the owner) who believes that material posted on the Site infringes on the copyrighted work may request that the allegedly infringing material be removed from the Site by notifying SVS’s designated agent for such purposes. The SVS Foundation Bridge Grant is intended to help mid-career vascular surgeon investigators maintain their critical research efforts amidst gaps in their funding.

The SVS Foundation Disaster Relief Fund provides emergency assistance for vascular surgery practices and vascular patients in disaster-devastated communities. The SVS Foundation (SVSF) is committed to Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) members in these areas who are devoted to their patients and our mission to save lives and limbs. 

The SVS Foundation Disaster Relief Fund supports programs that provide short-term emergency assistance and longer-term aid for vascular surgery practices and vascular patients in disaster-devastated communities.

Alexander W. Clowes Distinguished Lecture

Contribution level $50,000-$100,000

The Presidents Council of the SVS Foundation was established in 2016 by its founding donor, Peter Lawrence, MD, Foundation Chair.  As the immediate past president of the SVS, Dr. Lawrence wanted to demonstrate his appreciation for the unique opportunity afforded to him by the SVS during his tenure as president by making a major contribution to the Foundation’s endowment fund.
