Register for Community Practice Committee Webinars on Hiring, Credentialing

SVS members may now register for two upcoming webinars hosted by the SVS Community Practice Committee. Both sessions are aimed primarily at community practitioners but are open to all.

“Hiring for the Right Clinical Fit” will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Central Daylight Time on Monday, Oct. 28.

Physician recruitment and turnover together cost physician practices millions of dollars annually.
Recruiting the right physicians will save money, time, and improve patient care. Participants will learn how to hire the right clinical and personality fit and integrate the new physicians into their practices. Residents or fellows in the  recruitment process will learn potential interview questions and what physician practices are seeking in new hires.
Presenters are Drs. Erica Mitchell, Sheppard Monday and William Shutze, as well as Craig W. Southerland, managing partner of Case Consulting, who has more than 20 years of healthcare staffing experience.

“Credentialing and Privileging in New Procedures and Technologies” will be from 7 to 8 pm. Tuesday, Nov. 12, Central Standard Time.
Surgeons must continually gain expertise in procedures and technologies developed after their formal training, and vascular surgeons also must become proficient in new and evolving open and endovascular procedures.

It’s important that practitioners gain hospital credentialing for these new procedures to ensure excellent outcomes and patient safety. This webinar will focus on critical elements for obtaining privileging, the definition of a new procedure, a proposed process for credentialing and privileging, and implementing the proposed process.

Presenters include Drs. Keith Calligaro, Jason Jundt, Erica Mitchell, Jason Rollo and Nam Tran.
