When the Vascular Annual Meeting is near Washington, DC, meeting with members of Congress is a natural choice. SVS Capitol Club contributors have a special opportunity to speak with influential members of Congress during our Political Action Committee Congressional Reception.

If you're not a Capitol Club contributor, it's not too late for this year's reception, simply follow this link -

Many members of Congress have been invited, including members of the House Doctors’ Caucus along with members of the Energy and Commerce and Ways and Means Health Subcommittees. These Congressional members were instrumental for three major victories on Capitol Hill in 2015:

  • Repeal of the Sustainable Growth Rate formula that determined Medicare physician reimbursement;
  • Reform of the Medicare physician payment system;
  • Preventing the elimination of the 10- and 90-day global surgical packages.

This will be your opportunity to thank them for their support of issues that are important to your profession and patients.

This reception is for Capitol Club contributors, SVS members who have contributed $1,000 or more since the beginning of 2015, through June 8. Along with the invitation, Capitol Club members will receive a gold pin and recognition at the PAC booth during VAM and also are listed in the 2015 PAC Annual Report and on the SVS website.

Of course, any PAC contribution, of any size, is important and welcome. SVS members who have contributed less than $1,000 will receive a PAC pin and recognition at the PAC booth during VAM and also are listed in the 2015 PAC Annual Report.
