Your donation to the SVS Foundation is critical for Vascular Surgery
Thank you for considering a donation to the SVS Foundation. Your donation supports vascular disease research that impacts patient care as well as development of the future leaders of our specialty, ensuring the current and future health of our profession.
The SVS Foundation is addressing some of the critical questions in vascular surgery, including optimal care of patients with asymptomatic carotid disease, claudication, and critical limb ischemia. These priority areas have been targeted by the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI); SVS members are rising to challenge, but more work is always needed.
The Foundation supports supplemental awards for our junior faculty who receive K08 and K23 awards. The return-on-investment of these awards is almost 5 to 1, e.g. the recipients have leveraged the SVS Foundation funding into additional federal grant funding for research. Other awards supported by the Foundation include the Clinical Research Seed Grants, the Resident Research Prize, the EJ Wylie Traveling Fellowship and the Student Research Fellowships.
